This retreat incorporates principles from the GAPS (Gut & Psychology Syndrome) Nutritional Protocol, a food-based approach developed by Dr. Natasha Campbell-McBride to address the root of many chronic health issues, including those linked to a compromised gut. Whether you’re navigating digestive challenges, autoimmune concerns, chronic fatigue, anxiety, ADHD, or food sensitivities, this experience offers a new path—one grounded in nourishment, education, and supportive guidance.

Over five days, you’ll receive more than 24 hours of in-depth instruction and hands-on learning from our instructors who deeply understands both the science and the soul of healing.

This 5-day, 4-night retreat blends education, nourishment, rest, and community. You’ll leave with clarity, confidence, and the tools to carry your healing  forward long after the retreat ends.

Daily Flow: Immersive Learning + Gentle Integration

At the heart of this retreat is transformative education—Dr. Stephanie and Andrea Simons will guide you through the GAPS Nutritional Protocol in depth, including gut healing science, detoxification, Intro Diet stages, and strategies for supporting chronic health conditions. 

Between sessions, you’ll have time to rest, reflect, and enjoy the mountain surroundings. Meals, activities, and connection with like-minded participants will be woven throughout the day.

7:30 AM – Yoga, Gentle Movement, or Nature Walk

8:30 AM – GAPS-inspired Breakfast
9:00 AM–12:00 PM – Morning Learning Session 
1:00 PM – GAPS-inspired Lunch
2:00-3:00 PM – Free Time for Rest & Integration: journal, visit, or wander the mountain paths—your body and brain will thank you

Andrea Simons is a nurse practitioner, certified GAPS practitioner, and passionate gut-health educator with a heart for true healing.

After years in conventional medicine, Andrea felt the frustration of seeing patients treated for symptoms but never getting to the root cause. That’s when she discovered the GAPS protocol—a nutritional healing approach that transforms health from the inside out by restoring the gut. It changed her practice, her perspective, and her purpose.


Today, Andrea blends her clinical knowledge with deep compassion, helping individuals and families reclaim their health through food, lifestyle, and education. She’s taught countless clients how to listen to their bodies, heal their digestion, and find new levels of energy and vitality through GAPS.​

Dr. Stephanie Thomas is the founder of Happy Gut Healthy Mind Nutrition based in Fort Collins, Colorado.  With a background as a Doctor of Pharmacy, Nutritional Therapy Practitioner, and Certified GAPS Practitioner, she integrated holistic, evidence-informed strategies to support whole-body health--placing the gut and proper nutrition at the center of physical and mental well-being, where it belongs. 

Her work is grounded in a root-cause resolution approach that honors the body's innate wisdom and healing capacity, focusing on identifying and addressing underlying imbalances that drive chronic disease.   ​

Full Retreat Packages (includes lodging + meals):
Private Room (Solo) – $2,400
Your own cozy space for rest, reflection, and deep renewal.

Couples Package – $1,850 per person
For partners or close friends walking the healing journey together.  Shared room and shared gift bag.

Parent + Teenager Package – $1,850 per person
For parents attending with a mature, interested teen (ages 14+). A powerful opportunity for shared learning and support. Our teens are in desperate need of this information.  Shared room and shared gift bag.

Shared Room Option – $2,000 per person
Includes either a room with two beds and a bathroom. Great for those who enjoy connection and comfort.

Day Participant Option (no lodging or meals):
Class-Only Pass – $300

Yes! We offer a day-attendee (class-only) option for those who live nearby or prefer their own accommodations. You’ll still get full access to all 24+ hours of education and workshops—just without lodging or meals.

What should I bring?
To make the most of your retreat, we recommend packing:

Clothing & Gear:

Layered clothing for cool mountain mornings and sunny afternoons (typical June temps: 35–65°F)
Comfortable activewear for yoga and nature walks
A waterproof jacket and sturdy shoes for outdoor adventures

Personal Items:

Your favorite toiletries and any medications you require
A journal and pen for reflection
A reusable water bottle

Earplugs or anything else that helps you rest well


To support your body’s detox and healing, we ask that participants refrain from bringing:

Caffeinated beverages
Sugary or processed snacks
Alcohol
Recreational drugs

What if I have dietary needs or restrictions?

 All meals will be prepared in alignment with the GAPS Nutritional Protocol. If you have allergies or other needs, let us know—we’ll do our best to accommodate.​

If I fly, how do I get from the airport to the retreat?

​We’ll work with you to arrange a ride to the retreat for a fee or you can arrange your own ride. Just communicate with us after registration that you need a ride and what your flight information is. We will be there!
